Keep Word to PDF layout clean
Tips for preparing a Word document before converting it to PDF so fonts, tables, and images stay in place.
Clean up the document before conversion
Make sure margins, paper size, headers, footers, and page numbers are correct in the Word file. The PDF conversion follows the structure of the original document.
Use common fonts
Fonts that are not available on the server may be substituted during conversion. For important documents, use common fonts such as Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, or Noto.
Watch tables and images
Very wide tables and large images often cause layout shifts. Adjust table width and compress images before converting the document.
Quick tips
- Preview the document in Word before uploading.
- Use a consistent paper size, such as A4.
- Check the PDF result before sending it to someone else.
